Get to Know South San Francisco High School
We understand that students have a choice about which high school to attend, so we encourage you to see what we have to offer.
Our comprehensive high school prepares students for success in college and career. South City High offers five honors classes and 14 advanced placement (AP) courses as part of a rigorous, college preparatory program that helps students complete their A-G requirements in preparation for admission to postsecondary institutions associated with the University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) systems.
Through our shadow program, eighth graders have an opportunity to learn more about the school by experiencing a day at South City High.
Shadow days start at 8:10 AM and end at 11:35 PM. Students who stay for lunch will finish their shadow day at 12:15 PM.
Eighth graders will shadow a current SSFHS student during first, second and third periods and receive a campus tour during fourth period.
Then bring the confirmation e-mail to South City High on the day of the appointment.
